Project Inspiration 6-28-15

Hello All, it was a long week!  Back to work, taking the bus downtown for the first time in my life.  Wasn't as bad as I thought it would be but I'm spending 2 hours a day on my commute.  Not what I'm used to!!  Sorry I haven't gotten around to sharing more links until now....  I will try to keep up.  By the time I get home at night, sometimes I just too tired.  LOL

Project Inspiration 6-19-15

I'm planning a fun weekend at the Dells with my daughter.  My last week off before I start my new job next week.  It will be exciting (but rather confusing at first) to be working downtown. I will try to schedule my posts ahead so there aren't gaps between posts.  I hope you all are enjoying this beautiful summer.  So far, it has been perfect with sun, temps and rain when we need it.

Mini Nugget Gift Box Tutorial

Hi all, this little nugget box is so easy to create and you can get 2 out of a single sheet of card stock!  The box holds 4 wrapped Hershey Nuggets perfectly.  Following are step by step instructions to make the box.  You can decorate the box any way you want.  I have included suggested layer sizes for the top and sides of the box in decorating.  All products used are Stampin' Up! (some are not current).

MINI NUGGET GIFT BOX TUTORIAL

Step 1:
Cut card stock 5-1/2" x 8" (Baja Breeze used here)
On the long side, score at 3/4", 1-1/2", 4", 4-3/4", 7-1/4"
On the short side, score at 3/4", 1-1/2", 4", 4-3/4"
Clip away the sections as shown.

Step 2:
Sharpen the score lines.  Add strong adhesive (Scor tape or sticky strip) to the 4 small tabs.  Add decorative panels of designer paper, if desired (5/8" x 2-3/8" Twitterpated papers used)

Step 3:
Secure small tabs on the inside corners to form a box.  Apply adhesive to the 3 side pieces and fold to the inside and secure.

Step 4:
Wrap 4 Hershey Nugget candies with 1" x 3" designer papers.  Close box lid (tabs to to the inside).  Design box top.  I used a floral panel 2-7/16" x 2-7/16", cherry cobbler panel 2-1/8" x 2-1/8" and shimmery white 2" x 2" punched with butterfly.  Greeting is from Petite Pairs stamped in Cherry Cobbler ink.
