Ginger bite double slider card
When I spotted this Ginger Bite stamp from Peachy Keen at the CHA supershow, I just had to have it! I laughed out loud and instantly thought of how great this would go with the greeting set I bought from MFT. I used the new ricrac die from Paper Trey Ink. I used creamy caramel, early espresso, cherry cobbler, shimmery white and watercolor cardstocks. I watercolored ginger with crumb cake, really rust, early espresso, cherry cobbler and baja breeze. The ribbons are the satin vanilla and riding hood red taffeta. I added glitter to the white frosting on ginger (although you can't see it very well). Cherry cobbler is embossed with a sizzix folder. The card was created using the SCS Double Slider Tutorial.

Pumpkin double slider card
Here is another card that I've been wanting to try out. It's called a Double Slider. You can find the instructions at SCS HERE. I used really rust and chocolate chip cardstocks for the card base and slider backings. I used a retired Stampin Up DSP. I think it may have been called Outlaw? The Stampin Up greeting set I used is called FYI. The ribbon is the pumpkin pie satin with the dusty durango polka dot in the center.
Notice the cute little faces on the pumpkins? They were stamped with PK-550 Pumpkin Faces from Peachy Keen. They make all sorts of fun faces for animals, people, snowmen, etc. I'll be the first to admit that I don't draw faces very well, so I was so excited when I found these stamps! I just added a little white highlights to the eyes with a white unibal gel pen. The pumpkins are punched out of textured pumpkin pie cardstock. The largest one is 3 wide ovals, middle one is 3 large ovals and the small one is 3 of the 1 3/8" circles. Sponge the edges of pieces with really rust ink. I cut the large heart from Heart to Heart in half out of old olive cardstock to create the leaves and freehand cut the stems out of cocoa cardstock. The center section of each pumpkin is raised with a pop dot.
Hope you all like my little pumpkin card!

Fall Frolic page spread
These pictures were taken when Lilly was only 1 year old. I really love these pictures. The papers I used are some retired Stampin Up DSP. I think it was called Fall Flowers? The stamps I used for the leaves are also Stampin' Up! (sorry, I can't remember the name of the set). I used my Cricut with SCAL to cut the title. I used the Stampin' Up! photo corners punch for the multi colored photo corner embellishments on the 2nd page. That punch is great for creating cute layered photo corners.

Helping Hudson - a Wheely Great Cause!
Good morning everyone. Today is the official first day of the fundraiser to help Hudson get a Kid Walker! I donated an exclusive new design for the Punch Art Package. This cute little beetle is so versatile. You could try changing his colors to create a different look. It's a larger piecing, so it would work great for scrapbooking as well. Please support this great cause and go to the site to order. The bundles are listed as $10 Australian Dollars each. When converted to US Dollars, they are only about $9.50 each. That's a bargain for 10 different designs per bundle! The tutorials will be delivered to you via email after paying through paypal.
http://helpinghudson.blogspot.com/p/tutorials.html
Below is a look at my design included in the Punch Art package. Following that is some more information about this wonderful cause.
Hudson is 2 ½ but unlike most children his age, he has had a tough little life! Doctors realised he had an incomplete brain before he was born and as a newborn he was discovered to be legally blind. Hudson has recently been diagnosed with both Cerebral Palsy and Epilepsy! His mobility has been hindered severely by his disabilities, however his family and friends wish nothing more than to give him the chance to get moving on his own. Hudson needs a special Wheelchair/Walker, called a Kid Walker. This device will help get him mobile, allow him to play with his brother and sister, interact with other children his own age and give him independence in his day to day life!
HUDSON MOVING!!!!!

It’s true when they say that a little goes a long way, and I’m here to tell you about how a simple purchase of some fun -filled paper craft tutorials can give freedom to a little boy!
This is where the stamping world really comes into play! When a group of Stampin’ Up! Demonstrators are asked for help they come to the rescue, ink and paper in hand, to work miracles. This is what has happened around Hudson over the last few months. First with his mum’s direct team, and then spreading out across Australia and New Zealand and over in to the US , the UK and Canada ! His story has touched so many people so its time to share it with you all!
There is a HUGE online stamping event taking place, called Helping Hudson -A Wheely Great Cause! The organisers have been working really hard, securing support, tutorials and donations to get this event underway. There are going to be three weeks of stamping fun for you to join in – come back as often as you can, there will always be lots more to see, do and learn. It kicks off on the 1st August and will run right through until the 22nd. You’ll find it at http://helpinghudson.blogspot.com
When you come on over to the blog you’ll find out all about Hudson, his family and his cause! But, more importantly, you can DO SOMETHING TO HELP HUDSON, at the same time as helping yourself learn how to make some great new paper craft projects. How? By purchasing bundles of tutorials kindly donated by Stampin’ Up! demonstrators the world over. Each bundle has 10 fun-filled tutorials for just AU$10 (This is approximately $7.75 in US Dollars)! And there are six themes to choose from: Bags & Boxes, Christmas, Kids’ Birthdays, Projects for Men & Boys, Punch Art & Scrapbooking. There’s even a FREE bonus bundle if you buy four or more. WOW how exciting! All proceeds go directly to help Hudson .
And we would love you to help spread the word too. Check out the ‘Spreading The Word’ page at the site for all you need to know to get the word out to as many people as you can.

Punch Inspiration 7/31/10 & Some CHA chit chat
I know I said I wouldn't be able to post anything for today, but I had some time in the hotel to surf the net and find some great ideas. You would not believe all of the awesome cool stuff I bought at the CHA SuperShow yesterday. My wallet is still smokin'! And I'll be going back today as well. I was so happy to meet Beate yesterday who is a real hero of mine. She hugged me like a good friend. I showed her my portfolio and we talked a little. It was pretty busy over at the SCS booth since they were right there by the main door entrance.
I loaded up on stamps from Peachy Keen stamps. They have the coolest stamps! I can't wait to share all of my creations with them. They are stamps of faces and expressions. I saw those stamps and instantly, I HAD to get them since they would go so great with my punch art. I can do eyes well with the teardrop punch, but I've never been very good with drawing on the eyelashes, nose and mouth. I also got some really funny greetings from MFT to add to my collection. Custom Crops had the Pink Lady stamps that are so fun. So I ended up buying 3 sets of greetings. They will all go so well with my upcoming punch art classes. Lots of great make and takes. Taylored Expressions of course had some wonderful make and takes yesterday. I got to do one, but they also changed the make and take every 2 hours. If I was ambitious, I could have gone over and made 4 yesterday. Denemi and their most awesome stamps was there. The samples always blow me away. I only got one super cute hooty owl stamp. I wish they offered unmounted. Their wood stamps are really expensive! Oh, and I HAD to go dig through the multiple bins of loose unmounted rubber over at Whipper Snapper. They really have the funnest and cutest stamps ever made!
I could go on and on and make you all jealous, but I won't. On to the inspiration!

I'm hoping to come back from my trip with lots of fun new goodies to play with. I have another fun punch art idea in my head, but I won't be able to get it done until I come home.

Double sliding hooty wagon card
I've always wanted to try making one of these double sliding cards. The instructions for the slider is HERE. I used the Stampin' Up! More Monkey Accessories stamp set to create the hat for one of the owls and the wagon. I used a combination of 3 different Stampin' Up! designer series papers. The wasabi dot print is from Woodland Walk. The marina stripe and crumb cake dot is from Elegant Soiree and the riding hood red dot is from a retired collection. I used cherry cobbler and wild wasabi cardstock. I used Nestabilities Label #4 for the front of the card. 2 of the greetings are from the SU! set called Owl Together Now and the "guess hoo?" stamp came from MFT Thinking of Hoo set.
For the owls, I used all of the pieces of the 2 Step Owl punch plus the wing from the 2 Step Bird punch. The birds use basic gray, going gray and pumpkin cardstocks.

when do you find the time?
I get this question a lot. Given the fact that I work a full time job and have a family and household to maintain, when do I get the time to create? The answer is I DON'T SLEEP. Seriously. It's a good day if I get 7 hours of sleep, but usually it's more like 5 1/2 - 6 hours. So, if I ever seem testy, you can blame it on a lack of sleep. LOL
It's been a pretty pleasant summer in Wisconsin and I've found it rather hard to stay indoors and work on my creations in the evening or weekends. Sorry I haven't put a new tutorial up for sale in quite a long while. I haven't given up on it (although I was discouraged a few times by copyright violators).
I started working on a new tutorial called "In the Garden". It will feature cute garden/pond critters. I have 2 out of 5 finished so far. It's just taking longer than I anticipated. Once that is finished, I can start on my first Halloween collection.
I hope everyone has at least enjoyed all of my other creations that I have been posting. I have many scrapbook pages that have never been shared, so you can expect to see more of those in the future as well.
If you are itching for a new punch art tutorial, I recently created an exclusive design for a fundraiser that will go live this weekend. More details will be posted then. Thanks everyone for stopping by to read my blog and buy my classes!

Pretty in Pink page spread
Good morning everyone. Here is a page spread I created using a paper piecing pattern from Precious Piecings. I used my Cricut with SCAL to create the title. If you have SCAL, you'll want to hop over to Lisa's site and get a bunch of patterns. All of her patterns come with an svg cut file.

Hello everyone, to solve the problem with viewing permissions, I started gathering ideas on SCS when I'm not logged in. This way, any neat ideas I might have found in the fanclub galleries, won't show up in my search results. It's a shame that I can't show some of those ideas because they are pretty cool.

access to splitcoaststampers links
Hello everyone, I'm just realizing that some of these splitcoaststampers ideas that I'm sharing must be ideas posted by the fanclub. When I find these ideas, I generally do a search within the gallery with certain search words and then they show me the results. What I didn't realize is that they give me results for ALL galleries, not only ones open to the non paying public. I have no way of knowing either whether they are fanclub posts or not.
For those of you that are not aware, if you become a fanclub member on SCS, you get access to SO MUCH MORE! You get access to more ideas, discussion forums, challenges, etc. And the best part is that an annual membership is super cheap! It's TOTALLY WORTH IT! I'm hoping that everyone gets over to SCS and gets a fanclub membership. This way, you will be able to see EVERYTHING. Whenever there is a link to a blog on a SCS sample, I follow it over to the blog. Unfortunately, not everyone has a blog or shares a link to their blog for their sample. If I could figure out a way to tell what is a fanclub post and what isn't, I wouldn't post those links.
Sorry if some of my readers can't follow the links! I highly recommend going over to SCS and getting a fanclub membership
