Long time no post

Hello all, it has been a few months since I have posted.  Seems my life has been in a constant upheaval.  My company decided to contract out our entire accounting department so I have been spending all my time applying and interviewing for jobs.  I kind of lost my desire and mojo to create.  Thank you to my readers that have stuck around and for those of you that sent me a personal note to check up on me.  I appreciate all of you!

I recently created some stuff for a craft show and it lit a creative fire under me!  I'm excited to share some ideas with you.  I created a little nugget box and am working on the step by step instructions for you.  Watch for it this week.  It can be adapted to any design you want.  All you need is a paper cutter and score board and you are set!

To jump start the day, I wanted to share some cool ideas I discovered while surfing the net recently.  I see so many of you are still diligently creating.  I recently purchased new punches from Stampin' Up!  They retired some of my favorites and I'm pretty bummed, but this just forces me to create some new ideas with the new punches!

Hello everyone!  Thank you to all of my loyal readers that stuck around while I took a break from blogging.  The last year was filled with personal challenges and a dip in my creative juices.  I have missed sharing with you all and hope to get back into regular posting.  Peachy Keen has come out with some truly awesome face sets over the past year and I am eager to start sharing my punch art again.  Stampin' Up! has retired many of my favorite punches so I need to figure out all of my new go-to punches!

Lets get this show on the road!!!  Lets start with some inspiration!

Peachy Keen Fond Farewell Blog Hop

As 2013 comes to a close, I reflect on personal challenges in my life and realized that without friends like Kathy Jakopovich (the founder of Peachy Keen Stamps) and the other amazing ladies on the PKS team that I have come to know over the last few years as a design team member, I would have truly struggled.  Their presence has certainly been felt!  The ladies on the team are truly very talented and it has been an extreme pleasure and privilege to work with them over the past year as well as past design team members in our alumni.  This year I have not created nearly as much as I would have liked to but I hope to get back to sharing and creating much more in the new year!

I wish the new (and old) members of the Peachy Keen design team a very happy new year and all of my blog readers who have been very patient with me and my lack of posting!  Thank you!

PKS Challenge Glitter!

I found this cool card fold and I just had to try it out for this week's PKS Challenge.  It's called the Twisted Fancy Fold.  I got the instructions on how to make it HERE.

The Peachy Keen July 2013 SOTM set was perfect for this card.  Isn't this cute little snowman the greatest?  I glittered his belly and around his face.

Puppy Love

I used this technique to make this adorable dog card.  I used the August 2013 Stamp of the Month set.

PKS Photo Challenge

This week's Peachy Keen Challenge is based on a photo inspiration.  I admit that I really had to reach on this one.  The color combo was hard for me to get into.  I ended up using 3 of the colors shown.

For my card I used the PK-1341 Clearly Autumn Pint Jar Contents.  I love the pinecones! For some reason the colors were a bit washed out. I think my lighting was too bright.....

New Peachies!

The November release of the new Peachy Keen Stamps is coming!  I love Holiday stamps!  Check out this project with the new gingies. I like using the non traditional Christmas colors for these.  Paper piecing these images is so fun.  Be sure to come back on the 5th to check out all the new images.

Peachy Keen Challenge - Anything Goes

I'm already thinking Christmas for this week's challenge at the PKS Blog.  I love the style of the Pocket Card.  It worked perfectly with the PK-1326 Gingerbread two part cookie stamps and the PKS-15 Oh by golly! greeting set.  Aren't those little gingies the best?

I made this pocket card for the new release.  Don't you just love these cute little pumpkins in the October 2013 Stamp of the Month set?

I discovered that you can make your own jewels by coloring the Stampin Up! rhinestones with copic markers!!  Cool huh?

Modified Tri-Shutter Card

Check out my latest video and written tutorial on Splitcoast Stampers!  I call this a Modified Tri-Shutter card.  Totally easy and cool!  Try it out!
