Inspired by Stamping Release Day Party

Yay! It's time to show you the brand new Inspired by Stamping stamps.  Today's project uses the Big Notes stamp set.  Check out the pictures of the 3 sets I used this week below.  I also included the other 2 projects shared earlier in the week in case you missed it.  I used the Flirtatious Specialty DSP, Pretty in Pink, Rose Red and Shimmery White card stocks.  The greeting is stamped with rose red ink. For embellishments, I used the pink 5/8" satin ribbon and the Medium Daisy paper flower sponged with Rose Red ink and spritzed with Marshmallow Tattered Angels.  The pretty paper flowers can be purchased at Inspired by Stamping. The flowers take inks very well.  I have sponged them as well as spritzed with smooch/tattered angels and colored with copics.
Check out the other great sets in the release HERE.

Here is a look at the 3 sets I used this week.  You can see a closer look by clicking on the picture.

There are lots of other great projects to check out! Be sure to leave a comment at Joanna's blog for a chance to win a stamp set!

Peachy Keen Challege Photo Inspiration

Today's PKS challenge is a photo inspiration.  I just love the colors in this photo.  I knew instantly that the new SU! papers I just got would fit the bill.  One of my favorite Peachy Keen stamps is this sweet little set called Skunk Cheer Up.  I'm a big fan of paper piecing and when it's made easier by having a die, all the better! So you can image my excitement when Peachy Keen came out with the new Cottage Cutz die called Stinky Skunk.  I just had to use this little cutie on my card today!

Doesn't this look yummy?

Here is my inspired card using Poppy Parade, Lucky Limeade & Peach Parfait card stocks with Everyday Enchantment DSP.

Check out the other great ideas from the design team over at the challenge site HERE.

Inspired by Stamping Sneak Peek Day 2

This is my second sneak peek of the new Inspired by Stamping stamps coming out on Saturday.  This time I combined stamps from two different sets.  The frame is from the Fancy Labels 18 set.  The greeting is from the Small Fancy Labels 18 set.  I love that these stamps mix and match so perfectly.  I added more of these beautiful paper flowers.  These will be available to order at Inspired by Stamping on the 11th (Navy Blue and White flowers, Large White Curly Flower).  The frame and greeting is stamped with Not Quite Navy ink and die cut with Spellbinders Nestabilities Labels 18.  I added white jewel pearls and some celery colored pearls for the flourishes.  The designer paper is from a retired SU! collection.  The greeting is mounted with dimensionals.

Inspired by Stamping Sneak Peek Day 1

It's time for the February release of the Inspired by Stamping stamps.  You are going to love these!  There are 4 sets that perfectly coordinate with the Spellbinders Labels 3 and Labels 18 dies.  Since I have most of the dies, I was excited to play with these stamps.  The sets feature beautiful frames and greetings to go inside the frames.  I also got some of the new paper flowers to play with.  These are absolutely GORGEOUS!  The colored ones are so pretty and the white ones can be easily sponged.  Today, I'm using the set called Small Fancy Labels 18.

I used the new Twitterpated designer series paper with Baja Breeze, Pear Pizzazz and Island Indigo card stocks.  The greeting and frame is stamped with Rose Red ink.  For embellishments, put pearl jewels onto the frame and greeting.  The flowers are from the new paper flowers collection from Inspired by Stamping.  I used the Shabby Pink and Dark Pink flowers.  For the larger flower, sponge the petals of four Medium Puffy Daisies and layer them with a baja breeze courduroy button in the center.  Add dazzling diamonds glitter to the petals.  Attach a Baja Breeze seam binding ribbon bow.  The greeting was die cut with the Spellbinders Nestabilities Label 18 die and attached to the card with dimensionals.

Peachy Keen Big Face Treat Containers

Did you know that Peachy Keen has 4" face stamps?  They are FANTASTIC for making quick and cute treat boxes.  Today I will show you how to make the basic treat container box with three different design ideas.  Get creative and try some of the other 4" face stamps to create your own little cutie!

BASIC TREAT BOX TUTORIAL

Step 1
Cut a piece of card stock 9-1/2" x 8-1/4".  On the longer side, score at 1/2", 2", 5", 6-1/2".  On the shorter side, score at 1-1/2", 2", 7".

Step 2
Cut the card stock as indicated in the diagram below.  The gray areas are the areas to be cut out. For a larger view, click on the picture.

Step 3
Apply a strong adhesive like sticky strip along the 1/2" score line on the left and attach to other end to form box.  Glue or tape bottom of box in place.

Step 4
Pinch the top of box closed.  Add a velcro dot to the box and fold over flap at top to keep closed.  The basic treat box is finished!  Now, embellish your box with a face.
