Peachy Keen Halloween Blog Hop

The air is getting cooler and the leaves are now changing colors.  Autumn is finally here!  And that means one of my favorite holidays, Halloween is coming!  The current and past design team members at Peachy Keen got together to share autumn and halloween projects featuring Peachy Keen stamps.  If you came here from Kristi's blog, you are on the right track.  If this is your first stop, start at the beginning HERE.
BLOG CANDY ALERT
Several of the DT members will randomly receive a gift certificate for blog candy.  A total of $150 in prizes!  Be sure to comment at all of the hop stops so you are eligible for all of the prizes that will be drawn.  A complete hop list is provided below.

For my project, I used the Cottage Cutz Herby die.  Last year I had the privilege to design this little guy for PKS.  I just love the selection of faces that come with the die.  All of the greetings are from the CB-05 Goblin Greetings stamp set.  The card is a basic 6x6 easel card.  The spotted papers used on the goblins is from a We R Memory Keepers 6 x 6 paper pad called Spookville.  There is an orange, gray and black spotted print in there as well.  Lots of colors for a whole line of goblins!

The next stop on the hop is Emma.  Be sure to head on over to her blog for some fantastic inspiration.

Peachy Keen is having an awesome sale today only!!!! Free stamp with every order and discounts of 10 to 25% plus 99 cent shipping.  Stock up for the holidays!!

If you haven't seen the new Inspired by Stamping stamps yet, head on over to the site and check them out!

For my project, I used the cute face stamps from the Pumpkin Faces set to create this little ghosty.  I hand cut him out of a piece of vanilla cardstock.  Sorry, I don't have a pattern but it's pretty easy to freehand it.  The greeting is from the Halloween Labels set.

Inspired by Stamping Challenge

Hello all, I had a wonderful stamping retreat with my girlfriends this weekend and got to make some really fun projects!  I finally got around to checking my emails and was shocked to see that my Inspired by Stamping Challenge card got lost in blogland!  I scheduled my card to post on Thursday and it never happened!  So sorry for being behind the  8-ball on this!

The challenge was a color inspiration challenge.  I saw this pretty picture and instantly knew I wanted to use the IBS Daisies set.

Here is what I came up with.  I love the look of stamping your own background and then embossing with an embossing folder.  I used the SU! Lattice embossing folder.

Thanks for checking out my card.  To see the other beautiful creations, please visit the IBS Challenge Blog HERE.

Peachy Keen Color Inspiration Challenge

For this week's Peachy Keen Challenge, it was a color inspiration.  I admit, I was stuck in fall/halloween mode so this really threw me for a loop!  So, I had to switch gears and makes this a holiday themed card.  This is the color palette I had to work with.  I didn't use all of the colors, but I tried!  Check out what the other DT members did for the challenge at the PKS Blog HERE.  The other girls didn't seem to have the same problem I did with using the colors!

I used the PKS-11 Igloo stamp set.  The penguin was created using the Owl Builder punch (just cut off the tufts at the top of the head and use the small oval cut in half for flippers).  It's been a long time since I created a Sliding Pop Up card.  If you would like to tackle this style card, check out my step by step tutorial HERE.  I did modify this card a little for double pop up. The wrap is 2-1/2" wide instead of 1-1/2".

Did you see all of the awesome new Peachy Keen Stamps that came out yesterday?  If not, head over there and check it out!  A special discount on all of the new stamp sets!

New Peachy Keen Stamps!

The Peachy Keen Stamps release party is tonight!  If you want to join in on the fun, please head over to the Community Site HERE.  If you aren't a member, it's free to sign up!  This is an awesome site for PKS inspiration and sharing.  Instructional videos, member forum and challenges and LOTS OF PICTURES!  All members get their own page to share pictures and other info.  Come join the fun!

I wanted to share this card I created using the new super cute PK-130 Spider and Web stamp set.  Isn't that little spider darling?  I dug out my xacto knife and start cutting away at the web.  You certainly wouldn't have to do this yourself but I wanted the pop out window to show the depth from behind.  To make the front panel pop way out, I cut 1" long strips for the top, bottom and middle.  I scored at 1/4", 1/2", 3/4" and then accordion folded the strips.  Then I attached on the back of the front panel and then attached to a layer of black cardstock.  The effect is pretty cool!  The circle in the front panel was made with a 2-1/2" Circle punch.

Peachy Keen Sneak Peek

Oh Joy!  It's time for another fantabulous group of Peachy Keen Stamps to hit the streets!  This month, not only is there another super awesome Stamp of the Month and Peachy Picks kit, but there is a whole slew of new Country Bumpkin and Hillbilly Halloween sets!  Check out my sneaky peeks.  They both feature stamps from the September Stamp of the Month and the Peachy Picks paper kit.  Check out the other great projects from design team members at the PKS Blog.

I love Halloween, so you can expect to see lots of spooky inspiration this month!  This little pumpkin was created using 3 Extra Large Oval punches (pop the front oval with a dimensional).  The stem is hand cut and the leaves are from the Bird Builder punch.  Don't you just love this sweet little pumpkin face from the SOTM set?  The paper in the Peachy Picks kit this month is AWESOME!  I'll end up using the whole stack which doesn't always happen but every pattern in the pad rocks!

The official release party is tomorrow!  Check back at my blog to see all of the awesome stamps!
