Peachy Keen 3-D Challenge

This week's Peachy Keen challenge was to create a gift bag.  All I noticed was the 3-D tag on our assignment and completely missed the gift bag part.  So, IMAGINE this as a gift bag. LOL

I wanted to try something a little different so I modified an easel card to create this three dimensional circus tent and then I had the elephant coming out of the tent on a separate prop.  Sorry I can't show you how to create this since I was completely flying by the seat of my pants and throwing paper at this thing until it stuck!  If I were to redo this card, there would be a lot of things I would change about the props in the back.  Perhaps a new technique for the future....

I handmade the tent with a few cuts and folds of designer paper.  The elephant is a Peachy Keen Cottage Cutz die called Happy Go Lucky Elephant.  Isn't he the cutest?  The die set comes with 2 sets of eyes to add character.  I cut out 2 elephants and layered them.  This way, I could pop out the ears and trunk without the back showing through.  Sponge the edges with gray ink and sponge the ears, cheeks and feet with regal rose ink.  The pink on the toenails is pink pirouette card stock.

Want to get this die at a discount?  Check out the Friday the 13th sale over at Peachy Keen.  ONE DAY ONLY. 13% Off Storewide and a FREE stamp with all orders of $13 or more.  Details HERE.

Here is a side shot

Want to win some Peachy Keen Stamps?  Head over to the challenge site HERE and enter your own gift bag creation.  Submissions must be new and linked to the site by 7/18 (11:59 PM).
