Sliding Window Box Card Technique

I have another fun technique to share with you.  This narrow box card with the sliding window is super easy to create and easy to adapt to different sizes.  The tutorial I'm going to share is for a card that is 4" x 4" in size but you could easily adapt this to a larger size.  I anticipate making more of these in the future!

I was excited to get my first stamp set from Inspired by Stamping.  I recently joined Joanna's design team and I'm so excited to share her gorgeous designs with you all.  The set I used for this project is called Christmas Cheer.  It has 22 stamps in it, several of them being gorgeous greetings.  I love the script she uses on her stamps.  I have lots of snowflake stamps but I think the delicate feathery snowflake in this set is my absolute favorite!  I wish you could see this in person.  I added glitter to the snowflakes and stocking and it shimmers and shines!

Instructions:
Cut a piece of shimmery white card stock 5-1/4" x 4-5/8".  On the long side, score at 1/2", 5/8", 4-5/8", 4-3/4".  On the short side, score at 1/2", 5/8".  Clip away the bottom corners as shown.  Punch a partial circle at the top center.

Stamp the snowflake from Inspired by Stamping Christmas Cheer stamp set using the Soft Sky (retired), Baja Breeze & Island Indigo ink pads.  Punch or die cut a window in the center.  I used Spellbinders Label 1 to die cut the window and the frame.  For the back side of the card, cut a piece of shimmer white card stock 4" x 4".  Stamp greeting in center with Island Indigo ink (from Christmas Cheer).  Stamp snowflake in Baja Breeze.  Add glitter to snowflake.  Sharpen all folds on the front piece.  Line up stamped back piece behind front piece and attach 1/2" scored sides to back of card to form a thin "box card".

For the slider, cut a piece of Island Indigo card stock 4" x 4".  Stamp a snowflake on shimmery white and punch out with 1" circle punch. Glue onto 1-1/4" circle of baja breeze and attach to top center of card.  Stamp scrap of shimmery white with snowflakes and punch out Stocking pieces.  Punch out stocking in Baja breeze and stamp stars with baja breeze ink and add glitter.  Attach stocking to card.  Slide into "box card.

This card can be adapted to many different sizes.  For an A2 size card, cut the front piece 5-1/2" x 6-1/8" and score at 1/2" and 5/8" on 3 sides.  Cut a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece for the back of card.  Cut a 4-1/4" x 5-1/2" piece for the card slider.
